Headed by Huang Shixin, president of International Huashang Sightseeing Association and chairman of Hong Kong Hong Thai Citizens Travel Services Ltd and Diao Zhihui, vice director of Dragonair, a group of 12 from Hong Kong tourism industry came to Shaoxing County on June 30 despite the hot weather for a field study of the county’s tour resources. The group enthusiastically toured Stone Buddha, Cloud Bone and Village Theater Stage, all tourist attractions in Keyan. They said they would take immediate action as soon as they were back in Hong Kong to organize Hong Kong tourists to visit Shaoxing. They guaranteed that by the end of the year they would be able to sell the itinerary of West Lake in Hangzhou – Keyan and Orchid Pavilion in Shaoxing – Wuzhen Town in Huzhou to 20,000 HK sightseeing aficionados.
